When Are Medical School Interview Invites Sent Out? The Definitive Guide.

"When will I hear back from my medical school about my interview?"


This is one of the most common questions we get. We have put together a guide of all of the UK medical schools and when to expect invites to interview.

Many medical schools invite students to interview 2 weeks before their interview which is why we recommend students to prepare for their interviews before they even receive an interview invite!

This information is based on historical experience as well as the experience of our students. This information is up-do-date as of 26th December 2021. When will I hear back from Aston University Medical School?


MMIs taking place between December to March. Some candidates have already started receiving their invites for interviews.


 

When will I hear back from the Angila Ruskin University Medical School?


MMIs taking place between December and January. Many candidates have already started receiving their invites for interviews.


 

When will I hear back from Barts (Queen Mary, University of London) Medical School?


Traditional panel interviews taking place between January and March. Some candidates have started receiving invites to interview.

 

When will I hear back from the University of Birmingham Medical School?


MMIs taking place between January and February. Some candidates have started receiving invites to interview.

 

When will I hear back from the University of Buckingham Medical School?


This is a private medical school and accepts applicatations directly, instead of via UCAT. The University of Buckingham Medical School have sent out invites to an MMI selection day for candidates for 2023 entry.

 

When will I hear back from Brighton and Sussex Medical School?


MMIs taking place mainly between December and January. Many candidates have already received invites to interview. A small number of individuals continue to be interviewed until mid-March.

 

When will I hear back from the University of Bristol Medical School?


MMIs taking place mainly over a long period to time: December to April. Some candidates have already received invites to interview.

 

When will I hear back from Brunel University London Medical School?


Applications are only open to international students and they are hosting MMIs this year.

 

When will I hear back from the University of Cambridge Medical School?


Traditional panel interviews taking place mainly during December with invites send out three weeks before. Many candidates have already received invites to interview.

 

When will I hear back from Cardiff Medical School?


MMIs taking place mainly in January and February.

 

When will I hear back from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) Medical School?


MMIs occur from January onwards. Candidates have already started receiving invites for interviews.

Traditional panel interviews taking place between December and February.

 

When will I hear back from Edge Hill University Medical School?


MMIs occur on a rolling basis until all offers are given out. Candidates have already started receiving invites for interviews.

MMIs to take place between January and February. We expect interview invites to be sent out soon.

MMIs to take place from December to March. Many candidates have started receiving invites to interviews.

MMIs occur on a rolling basis until all offers are given out. Candidates have already started receiving invites for interviews.

'Semi-structured' interviews to take place from December to February. Liverpool Medical School have started sending out their first batch of invites to interviews.

 

When will I hear back from the University of Manchester Medical School?


MMIs to take place from December to February. Many candidates have started receiving invites to interviews.

 

When will I hear back from the University of Newcastle Medical School?


MMIs to take place from December to February.

 

When will I hear back from the University of Nottingham Medical School?


MMIs to take place from December to March. Many candidates have started receiving invites to interviews.
